Silver Tech Club
Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions, plain answers.

Everything you might be wondering about how our workshops and private coaching work.

  • Who is Silver Tech Club for?

Silver Tech Club is for older adults who want to feel more confident using everyday technology, phones, tablets, and computers. No prior technology experience is required.

  • Do I need any technology experience?

No. Our coaches assume you are starting fresh. We explain one step at a time, demonstrate the task, and then guide you while you do it yourself.

  • Do I bring my own device?

Yes, please bring the phone or tablet you use every day so you practice on your own device. If you do not have one, let us know when you join the waitlist.

  • Will the coach take control of my phone?

No. Silver Tech Club is an education service, not a remote-support service. You perform each step yourself while a coach guides you.

  • Can the coach help me with my passwords?

No. Coaches never request, view, enter, record, or store passwords, PINs, verification codes, Social Security numbers, or banking credentials. We teach you how to manage your own passwords and follow official account-recovery steps yourself.

  • What happens if I think I was scammed?

First, stop and do not share any more information. Contact your bank or the official support line for the service involved. Silver Tech Club can teach you how to recognize warning signs and how to reach official support, but we do not investigate, recover funds, or provide legal advice.

  • Is Silver Tech Club a repair or IT support service?

No. We are a technology education and coaching service. We do not fix broken devices, reset accounts on your behalf, or provide help-desk tickets.

  • How are workshops different from private coaching?

Workshops are small group, in-person sessions on rotating beginner topics. Private one on one coaching is a 60 minute session focused entirely on your questions and your device. Many people do both.

  • Where and when are workshops held?

We serve Los Angeles County, California. Workshop locations and times are announced to waitlist members first. Join the waitlist to be notified when a workshop is scheduled near you.

  • How much does it cost?

Private one on one sessions are $97. Our workshop plus three private sessions bundle is $197. Beginner workshop pricing is being finalized — join the waitlist to be notified.

  • How can my organization sponsor a workshop?

Visit the Community Partners page and request a partnership call. We work with banks, senior living communities, libraries, cities, and healthcare groups.

  • Are workshops accessible?

We aim to make our workshops and website usable for people with a range of abilities. If you need a specific accommodation, let us know when you join the waitlist and we will do our best to help.

  • How is my information used?

Silver Tech Club does not ask for or store passwords, PINs, verification codes, Social Security numbers, or banking credentials. We use the contact information you share only to respond to your request and provide Silver Tech Club information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

  • What if I have more questions?
